Do these reports include my FICO, risk or credit score?

No. The main provider of credit scores that may appear on your credit report(s) is Fair Issac. Their credit scores are called "FICO" scores. Many other sites on the Internet offer "credit scores" but unless they are an actual "FICO" score used by Experian, Trans Union or Experian, they are most likely NOT the ones used by lenders and therefore useless. They are generic guesses at what your score "might" be. Currently, only Equifax and a few of its partners offer the Beacon score which is a FICO score however, because each agency has its own score, you would need to know which agency was being used by your lender to determine if even the Beacon score has any value to you. Because, if your lender is using for instance Trans Union credit reports, knowing your Beacon score doesn't help you at all. You will need to know Trans Union's Emprica score. Because of the complexity of how and which FICO scores are used by which credit reporting agencies and lenders, we do not sell credit scores.

Additional reasons:

  • each agency offers a variety of scores some with the higher the number the better some with the lower the number the better so just knowing a score without knowing where it came from is useless to the consumer;
  • your "scores" will change day to day as a consumer's credit history changes;
  • the same lender may view identical scores differently over time;
  • Therefore, providing consumers with just one or "generic" scores will most likely confuse more than help them.

    Will requesting my credit report hurt my credit?

    NO. When a consumer requests his or her credit report, it is considered a consumer disclosure and does not affect any FICO scores and is not recorded as an inquiry that can be viewed by future creditors.

    What's the story behind the FREE credit report offers I see on the Web?

    Most "free" credit report offers you see on the Web require you provide a credit card and purchase another service for instance, credit monitoring. And, 9 times out of 10 your "free" credit report will only contain information from ONE agency, NOT all three. If it sounds too good to be true....
